Hariom Yadav, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine- Molecular Medicine at the Wake Forest School of Medicine, NC, with research focus on the role of gut microbiome in aging-related conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, obesity and diabetes via modulation of gut-brain axis. He has applied diverse-omics approaches to understand the disease pathophysiology these aging-related disorders and new interventions to reverse gut abnormalities to improve the life of elderly. He also co-founded the Postbiotics Inc and serving as Chief Scientific Officer. His group is moving soon to the University of South Florida (USF) and will lead USF Microbiome Research Center, as a Director. He is one of the pioneer to discover that the some dead probiotic cells can work as good as live, but very strain dependent manner. His discoveries are significantly shaping and influencing the business models of industries in the gut and nutrition health.
